Explore the upper forest with an accredited National Tourist Board forest guide. This tour includes a two night stay in Tiwai Island, one of the last remaining tracts of the Upper Guinean Congolese Rain-forest and home to a high concentration of primates some of them endangered like the Diana monkey, black and white, the red and olive colobus monkey and wild chimpanzees. Day 1 You will arrive in the evening, be met at airport personally by one of our team and transferred to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 Am you will be met at the hotel and transferred across the river by ferry and on to Tito’s Paradise Eco Beach. The afternoon will be spent walking through the bush with a local bush guide, following an old local slave route to John Obey. In the early evening there will be a boat trip in a paddle boat in the river into the forest, followed by good food and a bonfire.

Day 3 There will be a guided walk into the Gumma valley nature trail with picnic. This is a full day nature trek affording you to chance to see many different species of butterfly and rewarding you with a magnificent view of the western most edge and the beaches of the Peninsula. There will be another early evening river trip up the next river.

Day 4 A visit to the famous Chimpanzee Sanctuary followed by a trek in the Western Peninsula .Rain-forest conservation area.

Day 5 Journey via BO to Tiwai Island.

Day 6 AM and PM guided walks through Tiwai Island. Early evening magical canoe trip to the end of the island and back nature watching.

Day 7 AM and PM Guided nature trails and visit to the research center. A night time guided trek through the rain-forest.

Day 8 Return to Tito’s Paradise Eco Beach

Day 9 05.00 start for a day of guided trekking to Gumma valley Damn home to the white breasted Guinea fowl. Picnic lunch overlooking this magnificent dam.

Day 10 .AM one final nature walk followed by farewell lunch. PM you will be taken back to the airport by one or two of our team.
